A Positive Place has been providing confidential and comprehensive HIV care and prevention in Hampshire County and surrounding areas since 1991. The program was created to respond to a full blown medical crisis for people living and dying with AIDS right here in our community.

AIDS Action Committee
Free Screening for HIV, hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted infections.  To book a slot for testing call 617-450-1987.  Our programs are designed for those most vulnerable to HIV/AIDS. We empower our clients to live better lives by engaging with them to create practical, workable strategies to reduce their risk of HIV infection. We also assist clients with getting tested for HIV and obtaining medical care, housing, and access to benefits offered by state and federal agencies.

AIDS Care Ocean State
AIDS Care Ocean State offers a wide range of programs and services to our clients and their families. We aim to provide comprehensive care to persons living with HIV/AIDS in Rhode Island.  No medical coverage is necessary to receive services from AIDS Care Ocean State. Afia Center for Health and Wholeness
The Afia Center is a drop-in center that operates on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12 noon – 3:00 pm. The Center offers a hot meal, shopping at food pantry, support groups, outings and group activities, psycho-social support, community sharing, and arts and crafts. New members must obtain an application from The Project, and have application filled out by HIV doctor or case manager. There is no fee associated with the services offered through the Afia Center.
